Our project, Ascendancy: The Key Quest, is a fantasy-adventure game that plunges players into an epic world where they must morph into powerful animals, and solve ancient puzzles to overcome dark forces threatening the realm.

Our dedicated lecturers that make up the School of Creative Arts’ Game Technologies, have developed and ran this exhibition for over 15 years. Not only does GAMEX provide a great platform to network but also to secure and liaise with industry professionals from across the country.

Our course lead claims it to be a coincidence… Whether true or not, ‘J’ is the first initial of choice for all 6 core members of Jaster Studio. Formed as part of the Games Development MSc course, Jaster Studio and all of its team members are passionate about creating games and finding intuitive ways to mix skills across the specialised disciplines of each of its members to create experiences that thrill and inspire the game developers of the future in the same way the games of our youths guide our methodologies today. BluTale Studios are made up of four level 7 students and five contractors, working on a top-down game inspired by classic Zelda titles. The team includes passionate and talented 3D artists and programmers. Team Globtrot are a group of 5 hard-working and enthusiastic students from many different disciplines. With our team’s unlimited creativity, we enjoy creating funny and unique light-hearted gameplay experiences for all ages! Drop in at GameX to experience potentially the silliest and funniest game you’ve ever played! We’re also providing free stickers of your favourite characters!

We are a team of enthusiastic game developers, trying to enter the market with our brand new game The Last Case. Our team is comprised of four core members each with our own specific roles, each highlighting our strengths. There is the main Game Designer Tyreece Scarlet, who has handled our modelling and overall design of the game aiding the development of the game flow and overall loop. Next is our other Game Designer Ryan McNab, who is specialising in photogrammetry adding an extra layer of detail and realism to our products style and feel, these models are used as a core aspect of our game. After that is our first Programmer Alec Robinson, who has handled all the player mechanics as well as a mixture of contribution towards other parts such as camera work and UI elements as well as some puzzle creation, Finally is our last Programmer Lewis Jones, who has worked on the puzzle mechanics primarily as well as similarly worked on the other key parts to our game such as UI.

Made up of 7 final year students, 1 contractor, and boundless energy, we are a fun and gameplay-first small indie team called Small Bag O’ Peas! Our team includes talented programmers and designers with industry experience thanks to placement, and various artists who each bring different specialties, from 2D concept art to 3D environment art to animation, everyone plays a vital role! We look forward to meeting you and gaining valuable feedback to improve our flagship title: Dance Brawler! Come and play our game at GAMEX for free goodies and a chance to win a prize! Based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, most team members are fully in-studio, with a couple hybrid roles in the team for balance.

Team IntelliLite Engineers consists of six passionate final-year Artificial Intelligence students specialising in AI, machine learning, computer vision, and data analytics. Together, we’ve combined our diverse skill sets to develop an AI-powered city traffic simulation that integrates reinforcement learning, computer vision, data pipelines, and dynamic visualisations. Led by a dedicated project manager, we’ve worked collaboratively from planning to delivery, ensuring a commercial-quality product ready for showcase. Our team is committed to applying AI solutions to real-world challenges and demonstrating innovative, impactful results.
