As an Applied Artificial Intelligence BSc student with an engineering background and industry experience at GE Aerospace, I bring a diverse skillset to technical challenges. My recent projects include significant contributions to the IntelliLight Engineers project, where I developed the SUMO Screenshot Automation module. This involved creating Python scripts to automate image capture from SUMO traffic simulations, generating machine learning-ready datasets. I also built the realistic Cheltenham road network within SUMO, utilising tools for map data conversion and traffic generation. These projects highlight my proficiency in Python automation, working with simulation software, and handling geospatial data.
Beyond traffic simulation, I’m also actively involved in an agricultural simulation project using Simulink, Simscape, and MATLAB. This work explores the potential of AI-powered robotics and computer vision for enhancing plant health management and environmental monitoring in a cost-effective and accessible manner for farmers. Combining AI with engineering principles across different domains like transportation and agriculture, this interdisciplinary approach reflects my adaptability and passion for leveraging technology to solve real-world problems. My experiences, including a technical placement at GE Aerospace, have equipped me with a strong foundation in problem-solving, systems integration, a proactive approach to learning and innovation and the opportunity to achieve EngTech TMIET status.
